CONSULTATION ON THE PROPOSED SUBMISSION EDMONTON LEESIDE AREA ACTION PLAN
I write to inform you that the Council’s Proposed Submission Edmonton Leeside Area Action Plan (AAP) is now published for consultation from Wednesday 15th March to 5.00pm Friday 28th April 2017.
The Edmonton Leeside AAP covers an area in the south east of the borough which includes the vital regeneration area of Meridian Water, along with Picketts Lock and a number of industrial estates. The Edmonton Leeside Area Action Plan sets out a planning framework to support new housing, jobs, infrastructure and community facilities.
The Council proposes to submit the Area Action Plan to the Secretary of State for independent examination. Prior to this, and in accordance with Government Regulations, the Council is inviting representations to be made to consider whether the Plan is legally compliant and sound. A Statement of Fact and Procedure is attached.
