Community Care and Legal Services
EDA can support you in challenging Social Services through the complaints procedure. We can also provide information on what your rights are and support you to ensure they are upheld.
Every second Wednesday of the month we have a drop in with our direct payments team, you can ask any questions relating to your existing package and reviews, as well as payroll and pensions.
On the 27th September EDA will hold an information session in conjunction with Irwin Mitchell solicitors to advise you on The Care Act and your rights and challenging cuts to your care package. Download our factsheet on The Care Act here.
We currently have a partnership with TV Edwards and Irwin Mitchell to provide legal support on community care issues. We can also support with housing issues which are legally aid able specifically if you are threatened with homelessness.
EDA can support with complaints against the police and any council services.

If you think you may need legal assistance you can call 07852 572581 and leave a message or you can attend our weekly drop in where you will be sign posted to appropriate services within EDA or our partners across the borough between 10am-12pm every Tuesday.
